Digital content specialist by day, weekend explorer and travel blogger by night. I might spend my 9-5 living and working in southern England, but every moment of my spare time is spent exploring Europe.
In short, it’s about visiting every corner of our magical little continent. Discovering hidden delights, and revelling in Europe’s best loved.
There’s nothing I love more than the feeling of the sun on my back, the smell of fresh bread baking, exploring meandering cobbled streets and seeking breathtaking views. I’m less of a landmarks and museums kind of girl, more a jaw-dropping landscapes and local foods one. My trips are peppered with visits to local markets, uncovering the best coffee shops and cold beers, and generally trying to have a good time local-style.
City breaks are one of my favourite ways to get to know somewhere new. They’re budget-friendly and perfect when time is precious. But that’s not to say I don’t try to escape for longer when time is on my side, and I’d like to think I’m mastering the art of packing as much as possible into a short space of time (and into my hand luggage).
You’ll also spot that I’ve a not-so-secret love of the Alps. Magical snowfalls, flower-packed pastures, oodles of cheese and the warmest atmosphere – once the mountains have taken your breath away, you’ll never want to leave.
This blog is where I share my favourite moments from my adventures – as well as tips and advice for those who also want to get away and pack in as much as possible.
Oh, and about that saddle bag.
Well, it’s my trusty travel companion. Both delightful perfect and entirely impractical for every occasion, I’m rarely found without it in my hand luggage, and it’s been everywhere from festivals to mountain hikes. Actually, I’m now on my third one … too many adventures have resulted in a few untimely mishaps over the years.
